Global competitiveness becomes the inevitable norm as political and physical boundaries among nations deter the effective processing of information and ideas. The potential benefits of bt corn to enhance the Philippine position in global competition are large. However, the government, the industry and the general public must be in one accord to accept its importance before the entire economy can internalize such benefits.
