The admissibility of human DNA as forensic evidence in court cases has finally been resolved by the Supreme Court with a landmark decision rendered in Rosendo Herrera vs. Rosendo Alba on June 15, 2005. Citing the reliability of a DNA laboratory test duly-administered by experts in the field, the Supreme Court ruled that ordering a person to submit himself to DNA test is not violating a person's right against self incrimination.
