The Biotechnology of the Philippines (BCP) was born out of the perceived need among stakeholders to form an expanded coalition that would focus on the advancement of the safe exploitation of modern biotechnology for the country. This is line with the national directive issued by government that BCP actively supports. The vision of BCP as enshrined in its Constitution: striving for "a safe, responsible, progressive, dynamic and forward-looking Philippine society enjoying the full benefits of modern biotechnology."
