ISAAA is a not-for-profit international organization that aims to share the benefits of agri-biotech application various stakeholders, including the resource-poor and small-scale farmers, national agricultural research programs, private-sector companies and entrepreneurs in developing countries, the global environment and the poor urban consumers. ISAAA also facilitates biotechnology fellowships to build biotechnology capacity and sustainability in national program. So far, more than 50 fellows have already received training awards and have led technology transfer projects and regulatory activities in their respective countries.
