Author : Custado, Evangeline
It is now safe to assume that quite a number of policy makers, educators, students, farmers, and most especially consumers are now enlightened on the rightful definition of biotechnology and what it can do, including corrected misconceptions. Credit goes to the no-nonsense time, effort and resources expended by public and private institutions, which exhausted multimedia and other means to fervently sow the ideals of biotech to the general public after several years of incessant dissemination. Although enlightenment doesn't mean full acceptance of the technology, concerned sectors, despite reservations, deal with it now with an open mind. Surpassing this stage, what comes next is the readiness to reap the rewards of biotech and anticipate more products and services derived from it.
