Conclusion and recommendation: Formulating and implementing biosafety regulations for GMOs and their products in Vietnam should be based on sound science and Vietnam conditions. Biosafety reviews should be conducted on the basis of science principles and benefit from the experience in developing countries. Due to the rapid changes in technology and the range of GMOs and their products being developed. Vietnam biosafety regulations for GMOs and their products shall be periodically reviewed and updated.
