Summary : Thailand BBIC was successfully established to be an office for information on biotechnology products and biosafety during the initial phase of its development. However, there are various challenges facing the future of BBIC. Biotechnology communication is becoming a global issue nowadays. Thailand BBIC or other BICs can not act alone on this matter. The establishment of the Knowledge Center (KC) Network in January 2001 by ISAAA is a challenging task. Each BIC including Thailand BBIC will have to join hands and to demonstrate its capacity to deliver a highly credible, sound and factual biotechnology information to various stakeholders under limited resources.
