The study attempted to find out the in-service training needs of agricultural technicians involved in extension work in Peninsular Malaysia. Specifically, the objectives of the study were: (1) to identify some of the problems of the agricultural technicians in relation to their needs for in-service training in subject-matter areas as perceived by themselves and their supervisors; (2) to determine the technicians' in-service training needs in subject-matter areas and their priorities as perceived by themselves and supervisors; (3) to identify some inherent factors of in-service training programs such as training methods, type of instructors, frequency and duration of training, and other relevant informationas viewed by the technicians and supervisors; and (4) to evolve a guideline for in-service training programs of the agricultural technicians.
