The objectives of the study were : (1) to determine selected characteristics of rice farmer-members of Barrio Associations in the Social Laboratory at Pila Laguna; (2) to ascertain the degree of acceptance by rice farmers of their integration into the Barrio Associations; (3) to identify some problems in the operation of each barrio association; (4) to determine the differences in the productivity and income among barrio associations; and (5) to identify some factors associated with differences in productivity and income and their effects on rice farmer-members of barrio associations.
