The study was conducted to determine the area that could be supplied with sufficient water (A) for a certain period within the year based on diversion flow (Q), rainfall (R), and evaporation (E) in the service area of the Peñaranda River Irrigation System and the Sta. Cruz River Irrigation System. This was done by developing a prediction equation for each system. The information obtained was used in formulating a planting and water distribution schedule for both systems. The prediction equation for the Peñaranda River Irrigation System is, A=7845+0.609Q+16962R-21607E, while for the Sta. Cruz River Irrigation System the equation is, A=1551+0.559Q+1375R-3641E. It was found out that double cropping is possible in the entire service area of the two systems studied if planting and water distribution will be carefully programmed.
