The effects of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers at various levels on growth responses of Themeda Triandra were studied in factorial design with four replications. The study was conducted in the Forest Resource Management's green house, College of Forestry, UPLB, from April to August 1978. The treatments consisted of all possible combinations of ammonium sulphate (21% N) at rates of 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 kg/ha and superphosphate (18% P2O5) at rates of 0,25,50,75, and 100 kg/ha. The application of nitrogen and phosphorus separately increased herbage yield, but the highest yield was obtained from the combination of nitrogen and phosphorus at rate 200N-100P kg/ha.
