This research is aimed to describe women's participations in the Tea Local Smallholder-Nucleus Estate Scheme, factors influenced and problems in developing. The study is conducted in Batang Regency, Central Java, by using Survey and Indepth Study methods. Data of 75 household samples were analyzed by Proportional Test and Path Analysis. Most of the women take significantly a part in the Scheme. Farmer and his wife share proportionally in decision making according to the nature of the activities. Women spend about 1,032.33 hours per year or 2.83 hours per day for their tea plantation, most of harvesting (93.07 percent), and 6.93 mildew. Women get benefits for the Scheme in there of: 1) better knowledge and skill in harvesting, fertilizing, weeding, pruning and cleaning mildew, 2) improved in decision making skill specially in harvesting schedule and marketing. Women's idea contribution and benefit usage of the Scheme are directly influenced by perception towards the Scheme, and is indirectly influenced by characteristics and value orientation, and husband's perception towards the involvement of their wives in the Scheme is directly influenced by the amount of husbands' time spent outside their tea plantation, perception towards the Scheme, women's and her husband's value orientation, and is indirectly influended by size of their tea plantation. The positive response of women towards the Scheme can be developed further by using group approach. It can be done by using several Traditional Meeting such as Selapanan.
