The objectives of this study were (1) to determine demographic characteristics, local wisdom, knowledge management, group management, and marketing factors influencing group self-reliance; (2) to define self-reliance of the group; (3) to analyze the demographic characteristics, local wisdom, knowledge management, group management, and marketing factors influencing the elements of group self-reliance; (4) to explain the relationship between contexts of community, policy of community enterprise, roles of network for group self-reliance from key informants; (5) to seek for suggestions on group self-reliance. The result of elements of group self-reliance was found that total group self-reliance was at moderately level, the highest opinion was strongly agree in the socio-culture, followed by mind. Average opinion on technology, natural resources, economic was at moderately level. The testing of hypothesis was found that of all 23 independent factors, there were only 3 factors : knowledge management, members' behavior, and participation in monitoring that influenced group self-reliance. These independent factors could predict total group self-reliance 67.8%. Knowledge management could predict 49.0%, followed by members' behavior 15.8% and participation in monitoring 3.1%. All in all, group should develop learning center in locality to be a learning center of Lan tree, collect local wisdom of Lan leaf weaving and develop it to be a one stop service for selling domestic products from Thap Lan village. Government agencies should integrate with networks into set community forum among group and networks to develop group and community according to their potential.
