Summary : A study on enhancing the current Public-Private Partnership (PPP) strategies of the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS) information system for swine in CALABARZON (Region IV-A) with focus on Cavite and Rizal was conducted. The current PPP approach of BAS in swine information system was identified. It also determined the ways to improve and enhance its current system. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were utilized to find ways to enhance the current PPP approach of BAS information in swine. Survey through structured questionnaire, focus group discussion (FGD), and key informant (KI) interview were used as data gathering tools. The samples of the study were existing BAS respondents and non-BAS respondents on its Commercial Livestock and Poultry Survey (CLPS) in the provinces of Cavite and Rizal to assess their awareness of BAS. Hog Association and Hog Cooperatoves officers and members were also made as sample respondents. Interview of key informants from related government agencies was also done. SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) and stakeholders' analysis were used in analyzing the information gathered. Based on the results of the study, specific recommendations were made to enhance the PPP approach of BAS swine data system.
