Summary : The AGRIS/CARIS and Documentation Group of FAO has published this CD as a set of tools and resources to assist in fulfilling the goals recommended by the COAIM for the AGRIS/CARIS network. The CD covers three main areas of immediate interest to the work of the participating centres: the complete AGRIS dataset from the year 2000, the complete CARIS dataset and the latest version (4th edition) of AGROVOC; the AGRIS/CARIS archive of guidelines, tools and software; new developments for the use of the AGRIS/CARIS network, in particular: the beta1 version of the new WebAGRIS; a set of documents for the introduction of new standards for the exchange of data; a manual on cataloguing and indexing; new tools from Unesco, Bireme and ICIE to manage ISIS databases.
