Summary : This CD-ROM contains the following products and publications of the CIFOR C & I research project and its network of collaborators. Criteria and Indicators Modification and Adaptation Tool (CIMAT): a computer software package designed to help users modify, customise and adapt the CIFOR C & I generic template to meet local conditions and expectations. CIMAT can also be treated as a 'learning tool' for those who are merely interested in exploring the C & I knowledge stored in it. Resource Book Database (RBDB): a source of information on some key items in the generic template. It offers information on attributes, definitions, relevance, method for assessment, how to go about measuring a particular indicator, how to design a sample plot, etc. NOTE: The RBDB is a work in progress at CIFOR. Criteria and Indicators Papers: a database of CIFOR's C & I research outputs. Wehave grouped these outputs into three categories; C & I Toolbox, C & I papers and other related papers. The C & I Toolbox deals with guidelines for development and application of C & I for a particular forest management unit (FMU). C & I papers consist of both published and unpublished papers produced by CIFOR and its collaborators based on the C & I research carried out since 1994. The last group of papers although not directly related to C & I, provides supporting references for their development and application.
