Summary : SEAMEO TROPMED operates as a network in tropical medicine and public health through four TROPMED regional centres in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand, with a coordinating unit, the TROPMED Central office in Bangkok, Thailand. The College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila, which is also the officially designated Regional Centre for Public Health, Hospital Administration and Environmental and Occupational Health for the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Regional Tropical Medicine Network (SEAMEO), constantly strives to achieve its mission to be an excellent, relevant and responsive institution of learning committed to the values of excellence, integrity and service to the Filipino people and the rest of Southeast Asia. At the same time it continues to play its lead role in promoting and conducting research on public health problems of the Philippines and make available the expertise of its faculty to other organizations through advisory and consultative services.
