Summary : The main aim of tropical fruit crops work is to generate monographs combined as one to serve as a reference-guide in the crop nutrition and fertilization management of selected tropical fruit crops grown in the country. The specific objectives are: 1) To identify salient local data (agronomic, soil conditions, and leaf nutrient status) under different ecological systems and farming conditions of the selected fruit crops from 2000 to 2002; 2) To supplement the local data with those from other countries, including information searched from internet sites; and, 3) To present soil and leaf analyses as guides for the formulation of site-specific crop nutrition and fertilization management while the emphasis or focus of the tropical industrial tree crops monograph is crop nutrition and fertilization management of selected industrial crops, other vital aspects of crop production are briefly presented: 1) general and specific uses; 2) botany, morphology and popular varieties; 3) composition and nutritional value; 4) relevant crop statistics; 5) crop ecology and agronomy; and 6) crop harvesting and yield. Its inclusion aims to help and motivate crop growers to optimize production of industrial plantation crops through ICM.
