Agriculture in Thailand is known to be an important sector of the country economy for decades. More than 50 percent of its population lives in rural areas and agriculture is their main source of income. At present, the growth of this sector is about 3.26 percent per year. Thailand is one of the world food producers and many of its agricultural produces lead the world export market. Rice, cassava products, rubber, sugar, shrimp, chicken meat, tropical fruits, and cut flowers are among those.
