Summary : The wonder of coconut has once again captured the interest of mothers and farmers in the municipality of Libertad in Antique. Libertad Farmers' Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center sponsored a two-day training on the production of virgin coconut oil (VCO) in collaboration with Western Visayas Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESVARRDEC) and Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Region 6, the participants, mostly mothers, found out the prospects of VCO as additional income source for their family. Participants prepared the coconut milk for VCO production during the training. Mr. Ruben Nerecina of PCA Region 6 lecture on the proper way of producing virgin coconut oil.
