In summary, the scientists gave the following remarks to the answers of the applicant. (1) there is a substantial scientific evidence supporting that corn is used as food and feed, (2) Food consumption pattern of corn in the Philippines seems to be associated with socio-economic class, (3) The use of microbial pesticides has been in use for a long time to control diamond back moth and the development of resistance against the microbial pesticide by the moth in Baguio has also been reported, and (4) The answers relative to the safe use of corn and Bacillus thuringiensis var kurstaki are accepted.
