The study involves a test of major hypothesis regarding the economic behavior of Philippine corn producers. Supply responses functions are estimated for the whole country and its regions in order to test whether corn producers respond rationally, in terms of quantity produced and hectarage planted, to changes in the price of corn relative to alternative crops.
