Field experiment was conducted at the Central Experiment Station, University of the Philippines, College of Agriculture, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines, to study persistence of 14 legume species/varieties overseeded into Guinea grass pasture and their effects on herbage yield and herbage quality. The legumes were allowed to establish for six months before initial cutting was done in JAnuary 1976. Cutting interval was 60 days thereafter.
