Summary : An experiment using ten varieties of sugarcane and four levels of fertility was conducted at the UP Central Experiment Station from May 1974 to MArch 1975. The objectives were as follows: (1) To find out important morphological and physiological parameters and their corresponding relationship associated with yield and its components under different fertility levels. (2) to find out the influence of fertility level on specific plant growth responses. (3) to identify important yield determining morpho-physiological parameters under low and high fertility level. Plots were laid out in split-plot design and replicated 2 times with fertilizer treatments on mainplots and varieties on subplots. Each subplot contain 10 rows of 6.3 m long spaced at 0.75 m interval. Singled-eyed cuttings were used and were spaced at 0.30 m along rows.
