This study was an attempt to find out the factors which motivated the farmers in Pila, Laguna, Philippines, in adopting the idea of the farmers' association. It included such factors as the characteristics of the farmer members, problems encountered by the farmers in farming, and provision of facilities by extension agencies, and other factors that might have motivated or influenced the farmers to adopt the farmer's associations.
