A greenhouse experiment was conducted primarily to assess the supplying of K and Mg of five soils from different sugarcane plantations and to study the effect of K and Mg fertilizers on the growth and dry matter production of guinea grass applied singly or in combination on these soils. Results indicated that the dry matter and K yield of the plants increased as the level of K increased when K was applied either singly or in combination with Mg.
