This field study was conducted in Jambi Province, Sumatra Island, Indonesia. It sought to examine the changes brought about by the implementation of the new organizational structure and its relationship with administrative staff performance in Jambi University. The objectives of the study were to: (1) describe the organizational restructing of Jambi University, (2) describe the factors and problems which were related to the implementation of the new structure, and, (3) describe the changes in the administrative staff's performance with the implementation of the new structure as perceived by the administrative staff.
