The study of coconut diversity and conservation in farmers field are vital parts of the coconut production systems. It is a vital source of base materials for crop improvement and also it is a source of livelihood for million of farmers. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) was used in this study to locate the different agro-ecological zones and even the sites within the zones. These were obtained by superimposing soils, interpolated rainfall data, land use maps and elevation maps. In addition, a Global Position System (Garmin 12XL) was also used for locating the sites at the barangay level.
