Summary : This study sought to determine the training needs of farmers in barangays being served by the CLSU Technology PAckage Project (Tech-Pack). Specifically, the objectives were : (1) to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of farmers in the CLSU Tech PAck Project BArangays, (2) to find out the training needs of these farmers, (3) to determine the relationship between some selected factors and the respondents' perceived training needs, (4) to determine the extent of different farmers' perception of training needs in the CLSU Tech Pack Project Barangays, and (5) to derive implications and recommendations on the basis of the findings of the study. The respondents perceived training needs in rice production particularly in the following topics given in the order of their priorities: (1) water management for irrigation and rainfed ricefield; (2) control of rice diseases, (3) land preparation, (4) plant types and high yielding varieties of rice, (5) application of agricultural chemicals, (6) fertilizer and its management in rice production, (7) control of weeds in rice production, (8) rat control in rice production, (9) growth stage of rice plant, (10) methods of planting rice, (11) methods of seedling establishments, (12) post-harvest technology rice production, (13) soil sampling techniques, (14) record keeping, and (15) changes occurring in a flood soil.
