The main purpose of this study was to assess the undergraduate program in agricultural education of state colleges and universities in Region III, as perceived by students and instructors. Specifically, the objectives were : (1) to present a profile of agricultural education department of each institution; (2) to evaluate the level of satisfaction of students and instructors perception on the agricultural education program; (3) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the agricultural education program based on the opinions of the respondents; and (4) to determine some problems of the agricultural education program during teaching and learning. The student sample was found to have 83 percent females or 76 percent. Ages of students ranged from 18 to 32 years with a mean of 20.85. More than 2/3 (69%) came from barrios with the remainder coming from towns and cities. Nearly 90% of the students were supported by their parents. the primary reason given by students for enrolling in agricultural education was their desire to become a teacher. the study was designed to obtain the assessment of the quality of the Agricultural Education Program as perceived by students and instructors involved in the program and to compare those perceptions on institutional basis.
