The field of genetics can be studied at each of the various levels of biological organization, namely: molecular, cellular, organismic (individual), or population. This book, which consists of four parts, covers the branches of genetics that deal with heredity at the population level: evolutionary, population, and quantitative genetics. Genetic issues that affect human society are also included. Most of the genetic books are just briefly discusses. There are books on specific areas of genetics but they are usually too advanced for comprehension. This book is intended to be used in an intermediate (advanced undergraduate) genetics course. The topics are usually discussed in a manner a teacher would present these to his or her students.
