This CD contains 177 documents that were written between 1950 and 2005 by a broad range of authors all sharing a passion for aquaculture and inland fisheries in Papua New Guinea. Almost all of the documents are unpublished, and only a limited number of the originals still exist. The aim of the CD is to bring all of this âÂÂgrey literatureâ into an easily accessible format. The topics include: introduction of aquaculture species, trout farming, carp farming, stock enhancement of the Sepik-Ramu Basin, native species, the development of nationally significant aquaculture facilities at Aiyura, and annual aquaculture reports. Farmers, national officers, international scientists, non-government organisations (NGOs) and government officials describe their observations, findings, arguments and recommendations. This CD provides the reader with an opportunity to experience an historical account of the activities of fisheries in this raw and wonderfully diverse paradise called Papua New Guinea.
