The first volume introduces this broad concept of environmental law and capacity building; offers a comparative overview of Asian and Pacific environmental law (Chapter 5); and an overview of major strategies, mechanisms, processes, and sectoral concerns of environmental law. The second volume deals predominantly with international environmental law and regional cooperation, including the ASEAN legal framework in Chapter 16 and financing sustainable development in Chapter 23.
