Summary : The CGIAR’s financial goals in 2001 were to attract sufficient resources to enable it to implement its approved work program for the year and to maintain its strong financial position. The 2001 results confirm the continued stability of CGIAR finances in the aggregate. As in the last several years, however, there is wide variability in financial performance among the 16 Centers, and that suggests a need for continued vigilance at the Center level. Furthermore, Members need to address the systemlevel issue of slow disbursements.
